Alistair Campbell FCCA
Ayr Office

Born in Ayr and educated at Belmont Academy, Alistair has spent his whole career with the practice and was appointed as a partner in 2001.

Alistair believes in the core values of being friendly, professional and in touch with clients as the firm’s success is directly correlated to their clients’ success.

Outside the business Alistair enjoys being involved with his children’s sporting activities. He occasionally finds time to dust down his set of golf clubs enjoying the social side more than his sporting ability on the golf course.

 

Lyall Millar B.Sc. CA
Ayr Office

Lyall is a native of Ayr and has worked in the town since qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1978.

A mathematics graduate from the University of Strathclyde he joined  the firm in 1988 becoming a partner on 1 January 1990.

Lyall is a statutory auditor. He provides business, accounting and taxation advice to owner managed businesses, including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. His client base covers a wide range of industry sectors with farming and charities being well represented.

Outside interests include football and curling.

Leslie W Reid B.Acc. CA
Lanark Office

Leslie was educated at Lanark Grammar School and at the University of Glasgow where he studied accountancy and law, obtaining his B.Acc. degree in 1975.

Leslie trained with Grahams Rintoul & Co (now part of Ernst & Young) in Glasgow qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1978. During the early 1980’s he worked in the London office of the then Arthur Young McClelland Moores & Co before returning north in 1984 to work in their Glasgow office as a Senior Manager.

Leslie joined the firm in 1990 becoming a partner in 1991 and manages a varied portfolio of clients ranging from sole traders to limited companies. A large number of his clients are in the agricultural related sector.

Leslie’s outside interests include being Hon. Secretary of Lanark Lanimer Committee (a festival in existence since 1140) as well as Biggar Rotary Club where he is currently the Hon. Treasurer. Leslie is also very heavily involved in various organisations celebrating the life and times of the Scottish author John Buchan.

Marguerite Roos B.Acc. CA
Ayr Office

Marguerite has a B.Acc degree from Glasgow University. She trained with Ernst & Young in Glasgow and qualified as a CA in 1984 where she went on to specialise in personal tax.

As a mother of four children, she spent 10 years working part-time for a variety of small businesses and was involved in an honorary capacity with many small charities.

In 1997 Marguerite joined the firm and became a partner in 2003 becoming the audit compliance partner. She has been, and continues to be, involved in ICAS as a member of various committees.

Marguerite deals with a portfolio of clients ranging from sole traders, and partnerships to the audit of the medium sized companies, groups and charities. Clients are provided with a personal service and she is always available to answer questions and to provide advice and assurance. Each client's business and aspirations are important to her.

Her outside interests include cycling, hill walking and reading.
